Cops Hunt Burglars Who Stole from Sports Stars

The FBI is teaming up with local police to figure out if recent break-ins at sports stars' homes are linked to a global crime ring. Two big-shot law enforcement officers revealed this on Wednesday, but they're still trying to find out who's behind it all. It's all up in the air for now. Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had their houses broken into one night apart last month. A police report from Cass County shows officers were sent to Mahomes' place in Belton, Missouri, just after midnight on October 6. They didn't say if anything was taken. Kelce's home in Leawood, Kansas, got hit the next day. A whopping $20, 000 was stolen, according to a report.

Milwaukee Bucks' Bobby Portis and Minnesota Timberwolves' Mike Conley Jr. also had their homes broken into while they were away. Portis said his “prized possessions” were taken, and thieves hit Conley's place while he was at a Minnesota Vikings game. The police departments investigating these cases are working together and with other states and federal agencies. They're not sure yet if all these break-ins are connected.
