Cops on the Road: Google Maps' New Way to Report Police
Google Headquarters, Mountain View, USAWednesday, November 27, 2024
Before, the speed trap option didn't fit every situation. Sometimes, you just want to report police directing traffic or handling a roadside stop. Now, Google is making the reporting category wider.
This change is happening on Maps version 24. 47. 04. 699095382. The "Police" option is now easier to find. It was hinted at back in July when the updated system launched.
Does this change make sense to you? Some people might miss the specific speed trap feature. But overall, it's about keeping everyone informed and making driving a bit more transparent.
