Cosmic explosion turns heads

Imagine a huge explosion in space, upsetting astronomers' methods to explain it. This event springs to sight when a probe and a swarm of telescopes and space probes witness something bizarre It might have been a gamma ray explosion? Maybe the explosion was a dying star. Or a black hole eating a star was ejected from space. There's a theory that it may be unknown phenomena. An international group of astronomers tries to figure it out.
