Could a War in Iran Start a Global Conflict?
Middle East, Tehran, IranSunday, October 27, 2024
Over in Ukraine, the lines are already drawn. NATO supports Ukraine, and four countries have formed an "axis of resistance" with Russia. Both sides are getting more weapons, and tensions are high. Could this escalate into a direct confrontation between the U. S. and Russia?
Now, add China to the mix. They're quietly watching, ready to pounce if a bigger war breaks out. They're flexing their muscles in the South China Sea, claiming navigation paths. If the West is tied up in a war elsewhere, China might seize the opportunity to act on Taiwan.
History shows us that wars start simple but grow big fast. Just look at World War I. Powerful people let their egos and interests cloud their judgment. Today, special interests and donors have a heavy say in politics. This isn't like the old days when people had no say. We have a voice, and we should use it to urge our leaders to stop this madness before it's too late.
