Curran, recently shared an interesting perspective on NBC Sports Boston's "Arbella Early Edition. " He mentioned that Mike Vrabel, a Patriots Hall of Famer, might be interested in taking over the coaching role if Mayo were to leave.

Curran said, "Vrabel would be up for coaching the Patriots. He sees the potential there, even with the challenges. " This is significant because Vrabel has a strong coaching background. He was previously the head coach of the Tennessee Titans until he was fired after the 2023 season. Now, he works as a senior consultant for the Cleveland Browns.

Vrabel's name was also mentioned when Robert Kraft fired Bill Belichick. He is expected to be one of the top coaching candidates this offseason. Given Mayo's recent struggles and Vrabel's impressive résumé, it makes sense why the Patriots might consider him for the head coaching position.
