California, USA, Los Angeles,Sunday, October 6, 2024
The attorneys representing Jane Roe believe that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions. They stated that sexual predators exist not only in Hollywood but also in the country music world. The lawsuit says that Brooks tried to stop her from speaking out by filing a preemptive lawsuit in Mississippi under an alias.
Jane Roe started working with Brooks' wife, Trisha Yearwood, in 1999. She did her hair and makeup. In 2017, she began working with Brooks. The documents from the lawsuit describe disturbing incidents. For example, once when they were together, Brooks forced her to touch his erection. Another time, in Las Vegas, they shared a hotel suite with only one bedroom. He appeared naked and then assaulted her.
After the attack, Roe was traumatized and even considered suicide. Brooks is known for his hits like "Friends in Low Places" and has sold more albums than Elvis Presley as of 2015.
