Court Blocks Biden’s Plan to Protect Spouses of Citizens from Deportation

Now, the ruling means that those who benefited from the program won’t be able to intervene in the case to defend it. The “parole in place” policy was designed to protect undocumented spouses and stepchildren of US citizens who had been living in the US for at least 10 years.

The DACA program, which protects undocumented immigrants brought to the US as minors, is also facing a long-running legal battle.
