Court Puts the Breaks on Health Research.

State leaders spread across the United States take things into their own hands. This whole issue began with the presidential administration signing an executive order in last February, to find new ways to cut 4 Billion dollar deficit from the health research grants budget. Long story short. Along come 22 state lawyers to sue federal government in Boston court. They sue under two defendants , the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services. Fast forward to Monday. We find that federal judge Angel Kelley orders a halt just on the brink of its coming into effect. Notice from judges claim the lawsuit has merit. "Arbitrary" and "an abuse of discretion" are some of the words used to describe the arbitrary cuts

The cuts are dangerous. They threaten the continuation of crucial medical research. These cuts would affect therapy advancements on deadly condition. There was a threat to vital medical research. Fights from top government bodies such as secretary HHS , secretary nominee claimed that these cuts were in fact unprecedented and would gravely harm vital medical research. A senior Republican said I dont like these arbitrary cuts. The dying plea from expensive healthcare business groups only adds more fuel to the debate.
