Craig Retreats from DC's 'Sgt. Rock'
Thursday, February 20, 2025
Craig's recent work in Guadagnino's "Queer" earned him some of the best reviews of his career. However, it did not lead to major award nominations. He is set to appear in "Wake Up Dead Man, " the third film in the "Knives Out" mystery series. He is also set to star in "Two for the Money, " alongside Charlize Theron.
Luca Guadagnino has a busy schedule ahead. He will be directing a thriller starring Julia Roberts, "After the Hunt, " this October. He is also set to direct a new adaptation of "American Psycho" with Austin Butler and a gay romance called "Separate Rooms" with Josh O’Connor.
The character of Sgt. Rock first appeared in 1959. He is known for his leadership and bravery in the war. He eventually becomes the chief of staff for Lex Luthor, a villain in the DC Universe. This shows that even in a world of superheroes, there is room for more realistic and grounded characters. It also shows that DC is looking to expand their content beyond just superhero movies.
