Stepping out onto the crime drama scene with a bang, weary viewers and critics fry this new TV show at the very first glance. With the series opening to the public on Monday night at 10pm, it did receive tremendous publicity from the NFC Divisional Playoff Game and ran right after two episodes of The Voice. Still, NBC had managed to schedule and promote The Hunting Party so that audiences could be plugged into the show.
Do you have a hunch of what it is? The characters as portrayed by Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, Nick Wechsler which all are named along with a lead Melissa Roxburgh. All these elements brought glimmer of hope to fans for a story that would captivate them. The Angry and frustrated critics did not enjoy seeing how the show's premise played out in their opinion, so they assigned The Hunting Party a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Given that The Hunting Party has had only seven critics weigh in on the subject up until now, the rating may change. NBC replaced a previous medical drama, Brilliant Minds, which already received much praise, including an impressive 92% rating from critics. After this, The Peacock Network was unable to keep Brilliant Minds on top for too long. Viewers had 3 million peepers on the most recent episode of The Hunting Party, which is similar to the number of viewers that the previous critically-savaged Brilliant Minds managed to attract early on in its initial airing.
. The show during its run, had a wide age range audience and young viewers with very high ratings, which is something a piece of cinema wants.
The era of crime drama series and procedural crime looks dominant over its target demographic.
This is most crucial part of this drama, it is transforming to get a strong grip on the audience who are spending money on streaming. It would not be surprising that The Hunting Party did not screen well with the younger audience and sad to report the viewers who were waiting for a show with a fresh and fun concept. The old procedural series still hold water among the audience of all ages.
