Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his dissatisfaction with the 2024 Ballon d'Or decision. He felt Vinicius Jr, Real Madrid's star player, deserved the prestigious award more than Manchester City's Rodri. Vinicius, a Brazilian winger, was heavily favored but missed out on the award. He later won The Best Men's Player at both the FIFA Best and Globe Soccer Awards.
At the Globe Soccer Awards, Ronaldo shared his thoughts openly during the event. He believed that Vinicius' performance in the Champions League, especially his goal in the final, made him a worthy recipient of the award. Ronaldo also praised the Globe Soccer Awards for being more honest and fair.
Vinicius, who is just 24, was humble about Ronaldo's support. He said if Ronaldo thinks he's the best, he believes it too. It's an honor for him to be alongside his idols, Ronaldo and Neymar. Despite not winning the Ballon d'Or, Ronaldo was recognized as the best Middle Eastern player for his goal-scoring prowess at Al-Nassr.
