Cuban Slams Trump's Tariffs at Harris Rally; Musk Tours PA
La Crosse, WI, USAFriday, October 18, 2024
Economists have long argued that U.S. importers bear the brunt of tariff costs, which ultimately get passed on to American consumers. A study by the Peterson Institute for International Economics estimated that a 20% universal tariff and a 60% tariff on China could cost U.S. households over $2,600 annually. Cuban speculated that Trump might have understood tariffs better in the past.
Cuban's appearance in Wisconsin was the first of several stops in key swing states. He plans to discuss Harris' economic agenda in Phoenix, Arizona, and campaign with Douglas Emhoff in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Meanwhile, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is supporting Trump's campaign by touring Pennsylvania.
