Delhi's Air: A Breath of Fresh Data
Delhi, IndiaThursday, June 26, 2025
So, what's causing this change? Dust storms, fires, and the number of rainy days all play a role. But the biggest factor seems to be the weather. A special computer model showed that weather conditions are responsible for about 9. 8% of the drop in PM2. 5 levels. The rest is thanks to the government's efforts to control pollution and promote green initiatives.
This is great news, but there's still work to be done. The air quality in Delhi is still not where it should be. However, this study shows that with the right policies and technology, it's possible to make a difference.
