Peter DiMuro, the artistic director of The Dance Complex, began his professional career at the very same studio, which was then called Julie Ince Thompson Theatre. Nino de los Reyes, an award-winning Flamenco dancer who grew up in Boston, is one of the highlights. His performance, titled “Today Here, Tomorrow There, ” will take you on a journey through his childhood experiences in Boston and Madrid. He wants audience members to find inspiration in his story and embrace the beauty of cultural diversity.

What makes “Roots and Routes” special is its focus on both professional and amateur dancers. Christina Harrington, who teaches a tap class at The Dance Complex, will perform with her students to the tune of “Hello” by Martin Solveig and Dragonette. She hopes that their performance will inspire others to try new things and have fun.
