Something's not right with Donald Glover. The man behind the stage name Childish Gambino has had to call off the rest of his concert tour because he needs surgery for a health problem he hasn't told anyone about. It's serious enough that he can't perform and needs time to recover.
Glover, who turned 41 this year, started the tour on August 11 to promote his new album, Bando Stone & the New World. He managed to play 18 shows before health issues forced him to cancel or postpone some dates. Now, it's official: the North American tour and all the UK and European dates are off.
He made this announcement on social media. "After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston," he wrote. "I had to find out what was wrong with me." Tests showed that he couldn't perform that night or finish the tour as planned. Surgery is scheduled, and he needs time to get better.
Fans will get their money back where they bought their tickets. Glover thanked everyone for their love, privacy, and support. He really wants to bring this show to his fans but can't until he's fully recovered.
You might know Glover from TV shows like Community or Atlanta, or even the recent Mr. & Mrs. Smith. His health is a priority right now, so let's hope he gets better soon and can get back on stage for his fans.
