Driver Trapped in Sinkhole

Every body needs to think about the house we live in. Not the buildings but the systems that keep them going. Like the sewers. In most cities like this one, large pipes carry water away from our homes. This system takes away something we wont talk about. The city has a team to inspect things like this. They did check out the pipes about two years ago. So the pipes were not a big worry. The next day, something terrible happened. A pipe burst and caused a massive mess. The truck was damaged. The truck driver wasn"t hurt in the accident. But he is missing. This is because the road has been damaged and he is trapped under the rubble. The roads are important to people. And so are the pipes. The pipes are important because they take away everything that would cause problems.

Workers are on the job. They are trying to pull the trapped driver out. They are using heavy machinery to clear the wreckage. Heavy machinery shifts dirt, asphalt and everything else. This is dangerous because it could hurt the driver. It takes a lot of time for rescuers to find the driver. But only a small part of the truck has been moved. No one is happy to see this. The truck driver is still missing. Most people that live in the city have been told to stop using water. Lets all try to think about the damage this could cause. We have to think about the things we use everyday and how they affect our lives. Think about the pipes, the roads, water, and people. Think about how these things affect our lives and how they affect other people. If we all consider the things that we use and how they work, we can avoid terrible accidents. We can save lives.
