They have been happening nearly every night for over three years. The size of these attacks has been increasing recently. For instance, on Saturday night into Sunday, Russia launched its largest aerial attack of the war, killing at least 18 people.

The recent attacks prompted President Donald Trump to criticize both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Trump, who has a history with Putin, expressed his disapproval of Putin's actions. He suggested that Putin's behavior has changed, making him "crazy.
