Drones Are Getting Bigger and Smarter in Ukraine's Skies
UkraineFriday, December 20, 2024
So, what's the solution? Ukraine is showing us. They're developing what's essentially a flying aircraft carrier. This bigger drone, called the Dovbush T10, can carry other small drones and launch them from far away. Think of it like a drone mothership! This isn't new, though. Other countries are also using similar tech.
The Dovbush T10 was first used in Ukraine in 2022 for spying and reconnaissance. But now, it's getting a new job: carrying soldier-controlled kamikaze drones. These drones can fly to targets and explode, causing damage. Even better, the Dovbush T10 can also act as a signal relay, stretching the range of the smaller drones even further.
