Eagles on Fire, Chiefs in Hot Water

It was a thrilling start to the game. The Eagles scored 3 field goals but the story gets better. The rookie cornerback, Cooper DeJean, intercepted a pass from Patrick Mahomes. Picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown! This made it 17-0 Eagles in a matter of minutes. The game is just over halfway through the first half. The Eagles, the home team, were dominant over the first half. The Chiefs, the team with all the experience, came up against a wall of defenders. This Eagles defense was unusually strong. Two really quick sacks on Patrick Mahomes by Josh Sweat and Jalyx Hunt got Kansas City rattled. All in a row. On the first two plays. Like a shot to a heart on fire.

The Mahomes and the Chiefs are facing a lot of pressure. This reminds us of what happened during Super Bowl LV; it was the first Super Bowl the Chiefs played since 1969. They lost against the Buccaneers. It was because of this same kind of defensive pressure from the Eagles. The Eagles have had a run like this for a dozen games. The only real surprise this year is the Eagles have to do it again. No one thought they would be in this position. They were not expected to make it to Super Bowl LVII. The Chiefs have a hard game ahead.
