The Department of Education made a surprising announcement.  All offices in Washington D. C. and other regions will be shut down.  The reason given was security concerns.  Employees were told to leave by 6 PM on Tuesday and not return until Thursday.  The only exception was for those who had permission to work from home.  The email instructed employees to bring their laptops home with them when leaving the office Tuesday.
