Electricity Use in Vietnamese Homes: Who Uses More and Why?
VietnamFriday, April 11, 2025
Another interesting find was that bigger families use more electricity. This makes sense because more people mean more lights, appliances, and devices being used. The surveys also found that the gap between the richest and poorest households in terms of electricity use has grown wider. This means that the current pricing of electricity might not be fair to everyone.
So, what does this all mean? It means that there's a need for policies that help families who struggle to pay for electricity. It also means that the way electricity is priced might need to change. But here's a question to think about: why do educated people use more electricity? Is it just because they can afford it, or is there something else going on? And how can we make sure that everyone has access to the electricity they need without harming the environment?
