Imagine finding out you have not one, but three health conditions all at once! That’s what happened to comedian Ellen DeGeneres. Recently, she shared this surprising news during her new Netflix special called "For Your Approval." At 66 years old, DeGeneres faced some unexpected results from a recent doctor visit. The first big surprise was osteoporosis. This is where your bones become weak and brittle over time. It’s something many older women face – about one in five women over 50 have it. DeGeneres also talked about another health issue – arthritis. She mentioned having terrible pain one day, thinking she might have torn a ligament. But after an MRI, doctors told her it was just arthritis. And that wasn’t all! DeGeneres revealed she has two more conditions: obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She found out about OCD during therapy sessions she went to after some problems with her talk show a few years ago.

Growing up, DeGeneres didn’t really discuss health issues much because of Christian Science beliefs in her family. She even suspected that her father had OCD too. As for ADHD, DeGeneres said it makes focusing on things very hard. She even joked about how tough it was to put together her comedy special because of this. But she managed to find humor in all these challenges. Aging has also changed DeGeneres’s perspective. She realized that while caring what others think can be healthy, it shouldn’t affect your mental health. Overall, despite these health issues, she seems to have a positive outlook.
