Elon Musk and The New York Times: A Public Feud Over Drug Use Claims
USATuesday, June 24, 2025
This argument started when the newspaper published their report in May. They talked to many people who knew Musk and saw private messages and photos. Musk called the report a lie and said he hadn't used ketamine in years. The newspaper said they gave Musk a chance to respond before publishing, but he didn't.
Musk even challenged the newspaper and another publication, the Wall Street Journal, to take drug tests and share the results. He said they wouldn't do it because they were guilty. The newspaper didn't respond to this challenge.
This back-and-forth has been going on for a while. It's not clear when or if it will end. Both sides seem to be standing their ground.
