Veteran writers John Hoberg and Kat Likkel have taken on a new project! They'll be writing the script for Alloy Entertainment's animated movie, 'Christmas Forever. ' This film is based on a children's book by Elysa Koplovitz Dutton, who also happens to be the executive VP of film at Alloy. The story is set on Christmas Eve and follows a group of ornaments that dream of escaping their storage box to live at the North Pole, where it's always Christmas. Hoberg and Likkel are no strangers to successful animations. They were part of the team behind 'Elemental, ' which earned almost $500 million at the box office and received multiple award nominations. They've also worked on popular TV shows like 'Galavant, ' 'Downward Dog, ' and 'My Name Is Earl. ' With their deal at ABC Studios, they continue to make a mark in the entertainment world. Alloy Entertainment has been making waves with hit films like 'Work It, ' 'Purple Hearts, ' and 'You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, ' all being number one on Netflix. They're also developing an adaptation of a bestselling novel for Netflix, called 'In a Holidaze, ' and a modern version of 'Pride and Prejudice, ' co-produced with Higher Ground. Their TV show 'You' is returning for its final season next year on Netflix. Hoberg and Likkel are represented by UTA, Industry Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
