Exploring Starfield's Shattered Space: More Than Meets the Eye?

Starfield players have been waiting for a major expansion, and they finally got it with Shattered Space. But does this new adventure live up to its promise? The expansion starts with a distress call leading you to an eerie space station filled with ghostly figures. You're then transported to the home planet of the House Va'ruun, where strange events are happening, and people are turning into violent wraiths. Your mission is to solve this mystery and help the religious sect restore order.

The planet you explore is a mix of red and purple hues, with unusual glowing plants and creatures that look like they belong in No Man's Sky. The main city has a unique design, combining elements of an old temple and a frontier town. Despite its isolation, the religious sect feels relatable as you learn more about their struggles. Side quests offer interesting stories, from investigating a haunted orphanage to tracking down livestock thieves. However, the gameplay remains largely similar to Starfield's main campaign. You fight through dungeons, collect items, and occasionally use dialogue to solve problems. The new enemies and creatures don’t change the core structure of the game. Yet, the fetch quests provide a chance to try out the new dune buggy, adding some fun variety.
