Exploring Thin and Porous: The World of Triazine Materials
Friday, January 24, 2025
Recent studies have shown that using different synthesis methods, like solution polymerization and microwave-assisted techniques, can produce high-quality CTFs. These methods help uncover new ways to control the preparation of these functional materials.
For 2D-TPs, researchers have developed both bottom-up and top-down strategies. Bottom-up methods create these sheets directly, while top-down methods break down bigger crystalline CTFs. Both approaches aim to make these materials in large quantities and understand their unique properties better.
These triazine materials have shown great potential in applications like batteries, catalysis, and adsorbents. They perform exceptionally well and have unique structures that make them stand out. However, there are still many challenges to overcome before they can be widely used. Future research will focus on understanding their polymerization mechanisms and improving their practical applications.
