Exxon's CEO Wants Trump to Stay in Paris Climate Pact

It's worth noting that Exxon cheered when President Joe Biden re-entered the agreement in 2021. Woods made it clear that political agendas don't drive their decisions.

But with Trump in power, those green investments might not happen. Analyst Paul Sankey thinks companies like Exxon want consistent rules, not a change every time a new administration comes in. Myron Ebell, who was part of Trump's transition team, doesn't think Woods has much say in Trump's decisions. He believes Trump will listen more to independent voices than to Woods.
