Antibiotic resistance is a big deal globally, and it's particularly worrying in low-income countries like Bangladesh. A project called COSTAR is trying to fix this problem in Cumilla. This project uses something called the Community Dialogue Approach (CDA) to help people understand antibiotics better. The idea is to have local people talk about antibiotics and how to use them correctly. They do this in discussions called Community Dialogs. These talks are led by people who live in the community. The goal is to change how people think and act about antibiotics for the long term. The project is being tested with a big experiment, called a Randomised Control Trial (RCT), in five parts of Cumilla. The trial is checking if the CDA really helps. They're looking at how well the approach is followed, how much of it is used, how it's changed to fit the community, how many people it reaches, why it works, and how knowledge spreads. All of this uses a special framework called the MRC framework, which helps figure out if complex ideas work.
