Fire Danger Rises Again in LA: What You Need to Know

The danger zone stretches from Ventura County to Malibu and across the San Fernando Valley to Big Pines and Pomona. The National Weather Service is urging locals to be prepared. Make an evacuation plan, pack emergency stuff, charge your devices, fill up your gas tanks, and secure outdoor items.
Two big fires, the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire, are still burning. The Palisades Fire has burned 23, 713 acres and destroyed over 12, 000 structures. The Eaton Fire has burned 14, 021 acres and destroyed over 9, 000 structures. Together, they've killed at least 27 people and caused mass evacuations.
Governor Gavin Newsom is sending more firefighters and equipment to help. It's important to stay alert and follow safety advice.
