Flexible MXene Actuators: Moving with Moisture and Light

MXene is known for soaking up moisture fast and being very tough. This means the actuator can move quickly in response to moisture changes and light, bending a lot with high speed and stability. Its ability to expand in different directions allows it to be programmed into various 3D shapes. Using MXene's amazing heat absorption properties, researchers developed actuators that can move on water. These actuators use the Marangoni effect to navigate, which is like how some bugs skate on water. This new actuator has many potential uses, like creating plants or animals that mimic real ones, land-based crawling robots, and tools for transporting things on water.
