During his half-hour shift, Trump learned how to use the fry machine from an employee. He dropped potatoes into hot oil and waited for them to cook. He also marveled at the packaging process, saying the fries were "never touched by a human hand. " He then moved to the drive-thru window, chatting with customers and assuring them their food was free. Trump also took questions from reporters. He avoided directly answering whether the federal minimum wage should be raised. Towards the end, he found out it was Harris's birthday and jokingly said he might send her flowers or fries.
