Fort Hood Doctor Faces Serious Charges
Maj. Blaine McGraw faces severe allegations, including secretly recording patients, misconduct as an officer, disobeying orders, and lying. The charges span from January to December 2025, involving 44 victims, primarily female patients. One victim was not even a patient but was recorded at a private home near Fort Hood.
The Army's Criminal Investigation Division (CID), which handles serious crimes like sexual assault and murder, is investigating the case. McGraw was detained last week for violating his commander's restrictions. The Army has contacted approximately 3,000 former patients to warn them and identify additional victims. Some women claim they reported McGraw's behavior earlier but were ignored or let down by the system.
Politicians have expressed outrage, writing to the Pentagon to demand an investigation, stating the Army failed to protect women. The next step is a hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed to a court-martial.
This case highlights systemic failures within the military's handling of misconduct reports and victim protection. It serves as a wake-up call for the Army to improve its response to such serious issues.
