France is not happy with the U.S. A few days ago, the U.S. banned visas for some Europeans. One of them is Thierry Breton, a former high-ranking official in the EU. He helped create rules for tech companies.

The U.S. vs. EU Rules

The U.S. claims these rules are unfair and believe they limit free speech on social media. France disagrees. The French foreign minister stated that the rules are fair and ensure that illegal content is removed.

The U.S. argues that the rules go too far and hurt American companies. Breton, however, is furious. He accused the U.S. of acting like it's the 1950s and reminded everyone that the EU rules were voted on by many people. He denied allegations of censorship.

A Repeated Dispute

This is not the first time the U.S. and EU have clashed over tech regulations. The U.S. insists the rules harm their companies, while the EU maintains they are justified. This ongoing battle is far from over.
