The brainchild of Cristina Gutierrez, Chica Churros was born from her quest to perfect her churro recipe over the past five years. Inspired by the authentic taste she experienced in Mexico, Gutierrez has crafted a churro that is crispy on the outside and flavorful all the way through.

Operating under a transitory food license, Chica Churros fries churros on-site at events. This ensures that every churro is fresh and hot. The team, often including Gutierrez's sister and daughter, works together to bring this delicious treat to the community.

From Home Bakery to Churro Business

Gutierrez's journey started with her home-based bakery, Cristina's Sweet Obsession, which she has been running since 2018. However, her passion for churros led her to focus on Chica Churros in 2025. She hopes to expand into a food trailer by the end of 2026 and introduce more Mexican-inspired treats.
