Litchfield edged out Glencoe-Silver Lake 30-12, and Paynesville faced a tough loss to Holdingford 66-8. Eden Valley-Watkins lost a close one to Kimball 28-20. St. Cloud Cathedral blew past Maple Lake 44-8, with Henry Schloe throwing three touchdown passes and Timmy Lawal rushing for a 46-yard touchdown. Albany shut out Minnewaska 21-0, thanks to Ethan Meyer's 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Royalton fell to Osakis 44-14, and Melrose narrowly beat Rockford 28-27. Andover had a strong showing against Sauk Rapids-Rice, winning 41-17 with Alex Zimmer rushing for two touchdowns. Finally, New London-Spicer crushed St. Cloud Apollo 55-23.
Over in girls' tennis, the Section 8AA Semifinals saw Bemidji edge out St. Cloud Crush 4-3. The Crush finished their season with a solid record of 13-7. Paige Tarrolly and June Streit won in singles, while Sadie Mclean and Sophia Erickson took the doubles victory.
