Fun and Thrills: SC State Fair's Unique Entertainment

In the heart of Columbia, South Carolina, the State Fair isn't just about food and rides. This year, it's packed with a diverse range of entertainment that's sure to amaze and excite. Starting with the free circus shows, you'll find it near the South Gate Entrance. These 40-minute shows happen three times a day at 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Expect to see incredible acts like acrobatics, juggling, and even a human cannonball! Moving on to music, the Pepsi Place Stage is where it's at. There are performances scheduled every evening, including tributes to Tom Petty, Elvis, and ABBA. Don't miss the South Carolina Ballet's sneak peek of Dracula on October 11.

The Main Street Entertainment features Carl Brunson with a mix of pop and Motown. Meanwhile, the Academic Avenue Stage hosts musical shows, comedians, and more. History buffs can visit the Heritage Village to see reconstructed historical structures and live demonstrations. This year, check out "Albert A. Rasch: Veteran, Craftsman and Primitive Skills Expert" and "Experience Traditional Woodworking with Kaleo Simmons." There's also entertainment roaming around the fairgrounds.
