The millions of users who rely on PlayStation Network (PSN) for gaming had a 24-hour break from their favorite games and apps. They had to wait out the outage, which means they weren't able to launch their games, apps or any network features for a whole day.

    Imagine being excited to play your favorite game after a long day at school, then finding out the PSN is down. Thats exactly happened, it was not a fun experience for a lot of people.

    The frustration started kicking in on Friday evening 7:00 p. m. The problems caused a lot of interruptions and it was not a fun experience for users.

    Friday night was probably a night of boredom for many gamers who had planned to play online with their friends. It was a total bummer being away from the online world of gaming.

    However, things finally got back to normal around 7:00 p. m. on Saturday, according to a post on the PlayStation website.

    The support team was quick to tweet out the news 2 minutes earlier than the actual post.  They assured gamers that they could finally access online features without any more problems.

    It's still a mystery as to what caused the outage, but let's just be glad it didn't last any longer.

    Users have learned a much-needed lesson, as they've come to realize that the PSN can also be affected by technical hiccups, but it's easy to assume that the PlayStation Network is always smooth sailing. Maybe it is time to start thinking about what would happen if the network would go down again and make all that information available in a user easy to understand language. And realize that just like any other network it too can fail.
