The gaming world is buzzing with excitement this summer.  There are some big events coming up.  Let's dive in and see what's in store.

The Xbox Games Showcase is set to kick off on Sunday, June 8.  This event is expected to be a big deal, with plenty of exciting news for Xbox fans.  There are rumors flying around about what might be shown.  Some people are hoping for a glimpse of The Elder Scrolls VI.  Others are curious about new Xbox hardware.  Maybe we'll see something about Everwild or State of Decay 3.  Only time will tell what Microsoft has up its sleeve.

Over on the PlayStation side, Sony is hosting a State of Play presentation on Wednesday, June 4.  This 40-minute show will be streamed on Twitch and YouTube.  Fans are hoping to see the next Resident Evil game announced.  It's been a while since the last big reveal, and the franchise has a massive following.  Will Sony deliver what fans are hoping for?  We'll have to tune in to find out.

In other news, CD Projekt RED gave gamers a sneak peek at The Witcher 4 during State of Unreal 2025.  The demo showed off some impressive technology, like motion-matching and Nanite Foliage.  The game is said to be running at 60 FPS with ray tracing on a standard PlayStation 5.  We also learned that Ciri has a horse named Kelpie, and part of the game takes place in Kovir, a Northern Kingdom not seen in previous games.  It's still early days, but it's exciting to see how The Witcher 4 is shaping up.

Fans of Hollow Knight are also hoping for some big news.  The follow-up to the popular metroidvania game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, has been in development for a while.  Recently, there were updates to the game's packages on Steam.  Could this mean the game is nearing completion?  Fans are crossing their fingers and hoping for the best.

Finally, IO Interactive's James Bond game, 007 First Light, is supposed to be revealed this week.  This is a highly anticipated game, and fans are eager to learn more about it.  Will it live up to the hype?  We'll have to wait and see.
