The man suspected of killing a 33-year-old woman, Sabina Rosas, at an upscale Hamptons resort, is dead. Law enforcement sources have revealed that the suspect, Thomas Gannon, 56, took his own life at his Pennsylvania home. Rosas' body was discovered at Shou Sugi Ban House by a staffer at around 12:30 p. m. on Monday. Police believe Gannon was her boyfriend and the two had checked into the resort together. They were last seen leaving the spa on Monday morning, but Rosas' body was found hours later. The crime scene was violent and bloody, indicating a brutal homicide. Police had been searching for Gannon since, treating the case as a domestic incident from the start. Family and friends of Rosas were heartbroken by the loss, remembering her as an energetic and visionary artist who had a significant impact on the arts in Central Asia.
Rosas was especially known for founding the RUYO Journal, an organization dedicated to sparking meaningful discussion and creativity in Central Asia. The investigation continues, with the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner set to determine her cause of death. Gannon's suicide adds another complex layer to an already tragic and senseless loss.
