A New Connection Young people today are leaning more into religion. About 60% say they feel connected to something bigger than themselves. This shift is significant as it goes against the trend of moving away from religion.

Churches and other places of worship offer real connections. They give people a chance to talk face-to-face. This is different from spending time online or playing video games. But that doesn't mean these two worlds can't mix.

Take Carlo Acutis, for example. He was a teen who loved computers and got sick with leukemia. Before he died, he made a website about miracles. After his death, two big miracles happened because of him. One boy healed from a serious illness. Another girl recovered from a bad accident. Because of these miracles, Acutis became a saint in 2025.

Acutis shows that faith and technology can go together. He used his love for computers to get closer to God. This makes him a role model for young people today. They can see how to mix their digital lives with faith.

The Importance of Family

But the biggest way to bring faith back is through family. More baby boomers went to church and got religious education than Gen Zers. To help young people find faith, we need to start early. We need to show them that there's more to life than just what's on their phones.
