This week in Boston, the weather is set to take a wet and wintry turn. Meteorologists are warning of a winter weather advisory that will last until Tuesday morning. National Weather Service has forecasted rain, with some high elevations expecting freezing rain or icing. Vicki Graf from Boston 25 expects a wintry mix in the higher elevations of central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire tonight.

Cindy Fitzgibbon from WCVB cautions that this weather could make the roads slippery, especially in the higher elevations. She also predicts heavy rain on Wednesday, which might cause street and poor drainage flooding due to the partially frozen ground. Chris Lambert from 7News calls Wednesday a big rainmaker, with strong winds and mild temperatures. Pete Bouchard from NBC10 Boston agrees that this will mostly be a rain event, but warns about spotty black ice on Tuesday morning.
