Goodbye, careers: A fresh start or a sudden end? .

They were fired at all times. One in the middle of the night, another termintated with no goodbyes. A lot of federal workers were researched by text for emails. These employees were hit by the mass firings within a small window of time from random to sudden stops of work. A behavioral scientist that was working with a top AIDS agency was swiftly dismissed. She worked twelve hours a day in Africa in the field and six in the office. That proud chapter of her career ended without any severance pay. Her voice is lost like so many others. This whole situation with the U. S. government bureaucracy shift leaves hundreds in job limbo. It's not easy to understand all the person begging their boss and pleading not to let them lose their job. Many workers in this predicament are tense. Anger and sadness are key emotions right now.

Why? Because everyone is afraid of showing their feelings. The government has become an intimidating place. Everyone is afraid to be recognized as disloyal. Even if many people who lost their jobs are indeed angry. Many feel helpless against such an administration. People are already worried and just trying to get by. Health care is another unforeseen problem. Finding a job or retaining one is a delicate balance act. Workers are facing layoffs and a loss of basic health care within a 24 hour period. The emotional toll is sickening. For many, it seems like Elon's comments on social media are the source of their office's current conflict. Even though they know Elon's posts are not official, they are taken by several company bosses as instructions. People are being walked out by security like they're guilty of a crime. Others worry if they say anything wrong they may be next.
