Goodwill Expands in Inland Northwest with New 36,000‑Square‑Foot Facility

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest has just completed a major relocation. The charity purchased a 36,000‑square‑foot building at 750 W. Canfield Ave., previously owned by Sunshine Minting Inc. This acquisition marks Goodwill’s second site in the city and positions the organization to broaden its services across northern Idaho.

Inside the New Space

  • Workforce & Family Services Office – 6,000 sq ft
  • Retail Store & Production Zones – 13,650 sq ft
  • Donation Center – 400 sq ft
  • E‑Commerce Department – 6,000 sq ft

The layout allows Goodwill to strengthen its e‑commerce presence with a third online location, serving customers and donors throughout the region.

Milestone Achieved

The deal was finalized after Goodwill made an offer on March 26, showcasing the organization’s swift action and dedication to community support.

Leadership Insight

Goodwill’s president and CEO expressed excitement about the expansion, emphasizing that local donors and shoppers play a vital role in lifting people out of hardship. The new center is expected to create more jobs, training opportunities, and accessible goods for residents of Coeur d’Alene and beyond.

Mission Forward

With this new facility, Goodwill is set to enhance its mission of empowering individuals through employment and education while continuing to offer affordable clothing and household items to the public.
