Google Calendar’s Makeover: Dark Mode & New Look
Google Headquarters, Mountain View, USAThursday, October 24, 2024
Don't worry if you haven't seen the update yet; it will be available to everyone soon, whether you use a personal Gmail account or a paid Google Workspace account. To turn on the dark mode, just click the settings icon in the top right corner of your Google Calendar and select “Appearance” from the drop-down menu. You can also choose to match your device’s theme or switch back to the light mode.
Previously, getting dark mode on the web required third-party browser extensions, but Google warns that these might not work as expected with the new update. The focus is on a visual refresh, making the controls and dialog boxes look more modern.
