Google has just launched its latest AI models, including the experimental 2. 0 Flash Thinking. This update is now available on the web, Android, and iOS apps. The rollout started on gemini. google. com and has since spread to mobile apps. Everyone with a Gemini account can now access 2. 0 Flash Thinking. Google has made some changes to how they label experimental models, now using lowercase and parentheses. The new Flash Thinking model is faster and more efficient than the previous version. The update also brings a new feature called Deep Research. It's powered by the 2. 0 Flash Thinking model, but Google hasn't specified which model it is. On the web, there's a new "Deep Research" button in the prompt bar. Free users have lower research limits compared to Advanced subscribers. Google is also testing a new Personalization model. This model analyzes your past search history to provide better answers. It's useful for brainstorming and personalized recommendations. For example, it can suggest vacation spots, YouTube channel ideas, or new hobbies. Google plans to use more than just Search for this feature, including YouTube and Photos. This is part of Google's goal to create a personal AI assistant that understands users better. Google has also rolled out Saved info widely. Soon, the Advanced capability that lets Gemini recall past chats will be available in over 45 languages. This update includes several new models: 2. 0 Flash for everyday tasks, 2. 0 Flash Thinking (experimental) for advanced reasoning, Deep Research for in-depth reports, Personalization (experimental) for personalized help, and 2. 0 Pro (experimental) for complex tasks. These models offer a range of features for both free and Advanced users.
