Google's New Pixel 9a: Goodbye Camera Bar, Hello New Look
Monday, February 10, 2025
The case design itself is pretty standard. It has a “G” logo in the center and the inside has a textured finish. The front view leak showed the bezels. The bezels are the edges around the screen.
This is a big deal. Camera bars have been a signature feature of Google's Pixels for years. They are a unique design that lets you know it is a Google device. But will removing it help them? Pixel users are used to the camera bar. But maybe it's time for a change.
Google’s next mid-range device is shaping up to be interesting. Removal of the iconic camera bar could mean new features. It could also improve the design. Will it be a hit with users? Or miss the mark?
