Google has a big plan for the future of its Pixel Watches. They're working on a custom chip called the NPT, which will be released in 2026. This chip will go into the Pixel Watch 5. The chip uses older CPU cores to focus on efficiency. We don't know much about the chip's details yet, like the process node or the modem. But we do know that Google wants to make their watches smarter with this new chip. The Pixel Watch series started off a bit slow with an outdated chip, but they switched to Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 for the second and third generations. Now, with no new platform from Qualcomm, Google is looking to create their own chip. The NPT chip might be similar to Samsung's Exynos W1000. Google is also considering using the RISC-V architecture, but that might not happen. This new chip will help Google add more features to their watches. It's exciting to think about what new things we can do with a smarter Pixel Watch!
