Gradiant: The Unicorn Revolutionizing Water Recycling

Water, a precious resource, is under increasing strain as heavy industries, such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, textiles, mining, renewables, and power, consume up to half of the world's supply. Wastewater is heated and pumped into a humidifier, where it mixes with ambient air. As the two interact, they are heated into vapor, leaving the contaminants behind. The vapor is then transferred to a column with cool, clean water. When the two mix, the air cools and drops fresh water, just like rain from a cloud. This innovative process allows Gradiant to recover 99% of water, compared to 50-60% by other technologies.

Gradiant's impressive client roster includes industry giants such as Coca-Cola, BMW, Pfizer, and Adnoc. By saving 1.7 billion gallons of water daily, Gradiant contributes to preserving this vital resource for 48 million people. The company's rapid growth, with over $500 million in new orders in the first half of this year, has attracted the attention of investors, including General Innovation Capital Partners, Warburg Pincus, M&G Investments, Formation 8, Clearvision Ventures, and GRC. Mark Danchak, co-founder at General Innovation Capital Partners, praised Gradiant's ability to provide a full end-to-end solution for customers, setting it apart from competitors.
