They took two types of bean seedlings: one tough against cold (YJ009763) and one sensitive (Baibulao). Then, they added DA-6 and watched what happened. The results? DA-6 boosted growth, kept photosynthesis going strong, and bolstered the plants' antioxidant systems. It even influenced the expression of certain genes. Photosynthesis is how plants make food using sunlight. DA-6 seemed to keep this process humming even when it was chilly. Antioxidants, on the other hand, protect plants from damage. DA-6 ramped up these defenders, too. But why does this matter? Well, understanding how DA-6 helps beans survive cold could lead to better ways to protect crops.
