Gwen Stefani’s Spiritual Comeback and New Baby

USA, California, Anaheim,Wednesday, March 11, 2026

Gwen Stefani, once a regular Sunday churchgoer in Anaheim, found herself drifting away from faith as she grew older. A chance study of the Jewish Torah with a close friend sparked a deep yearning for spirituality, prompting her to ask herself whether religion still mattered in her life.

During those conversations she also faced a personal dilemma: after separating from Gavin Rossdale in 2015, Stefani was eager to expand her family. She had two teenage sons, Kingston and Zuma, but felt she needed a third child to complete her family picture. She admitted feeling “desperate” for another baby, and the Torah discussions seemed to awaken something inside her.

Kingston, then eight, began praying for a new sibling every night without any instruction from his mother. When Stefani told him she was too old to have another child, he pleaded with God for her. She found herself astonished by his earnest prayers and saw it as a sign that she should listen to her heart.

A month later, at 44, Stefani discovered she was pregnant with Apollo. She described the moment as a “miracle” and felt compelled to turn to God for guidance, echoing lessons her parents had taught her about faith. Apollo’s birth made her realize that time was limited and she needed to solidify her Christian beliefs before what she described as a “narrow door” could close.

Her new husband, Blake Shelton, played a key role in helping her accept love that comes from others. Before they married, Stefani struggled with the idea of being loved through actions rather than words. Shelton’s devotion taught her to trust and receive that kind of love, which she now sees as vital for her spiritual growth.

In December, Stefani faced criticism from longtime fans when she promoted a prayer app that includes anti‑abortion messages. She defended her involvement by emphasizing the spiritual benefits she found in the app’s content.

Stefani is preparing to reunite with her No Doubt bandmates for a Las Vegas residency, and she hopes that her renewed faith will continue to guide both her personal life and public career.
